USASMDC AWARDS $405 MILLION
CONTRACT TO ADVANCED SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT, INC. (ASD).
(Arlington, VA and Huntsville, AL) – Advanced Systems Development, Inc. (ASD)
announced on October 27, 2005 the award of a 10 year contract in support
of the Command Information Management System (CIMS) to provide Mission-Essential
Enterprise Information Technology Solutions to the United States Army Space and
Missile Defense Command/United States Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/USARSTRAT). The
CIMS mission involves space operations and support to the Missile Defense Agency,
USSTRATCOM, ballistic missile research and development, and other operations. The
CIMS is the overall command enterprise and support architecture comprising the
primary functional IT entities required to support the command and customer’s
mission areas.

and at numerous client sites located across seven states and the District of
Columbia. ASD is currently appraised at CMMI Level II, and scheduled to
achieve CMMI Level III in June 2006. Our sound, best practice management

The new CIMS contract offers a variety of innovations and cost savings features,
and is well postured to meet the growing customer demand for information technology
support both now and in the future under Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC).
